In its current iteration, sSLOPE aims to deliver a concise slope stability assessment on mobile devices. The application emphasizes simplicity and rapid usability. It implements the simplified Bishop method (the method of slices) to discretize the soil/rock mass and compute the Factor of Safety (FOS).

• Supports analysis of horizontally layered soil slopes (up to seven layers) in the latest release (sSLOPE v3.0).
• The water table can be used to calculate pore pressures and to represent ponded water above the slope surface.
• Vertical external loading (a distributed compression) can be applied to the upper portion of the slope model.
• Pseudo-static seismic loads can be included by specifying horizontal and/or vertical seismic load coefficients.
• End-anchored and soil-nail reinforcement models are available to represent slope stabilization measures.
• Failure surface search limits are adjustable to narrow the search area and improve accuracy.
• Stability assessment supports both Mohr-Coulomb and Generalized Hoek-Brown strength criteria for soil and rock slopes.
• The Settings tab allows configuration of main analysis parameters, including units of measurement and project title.
• The Report page presents a brief summary of results and input data; the report function saves the model’s input and output to a PDF, which can be shared via email.
